I WIN!!!

Here's the latest updates. I promise to keep this post positive, and I'll start with the most triumphant news.

I have finally won my immigration woes!!! I was getting so fed up with getting told different things by everyone I talked to and having to explain my story umpteen times a day. (Apparently umpteen is a real word. Who knew?!) I asked a few people for advise and they all told me to write everything out, photocopy all the paperwork I had to prove my point and then mail it to the Customer Service place I've been talking to, as well as the two Colorado Senators.

It took me a while to set aside the time to do that though. The issue made me so infuriated, I avoided anything to do with it because I didn't want to reignite the anger... haha.. But I eventually got around to doing it and typing out the story which ended up being 4 pages long. My mom said it would be a good idea to write everything out in point form too, so I did that, which was another page. Then there were about 15 pages of photocopied paperwork as well. I gathered it all together, mailed it off, didn't hear a thing from Customer Service, but both of the Senators wrote back! They both sent me a information release form to give them permission to contact immigration on my behalf. I even got a phone call from a woman who works for one of the Senators specifically on immigration issues. She said that if it really does come down to me having to file the form with the $450 fee, there is a secret form I can fill out that waives the fee because it wasn't my fault that I never got the card.

A few days later the same woman called me to say that I have to file the two forms and emailed me the

correspondence that she had with immigration. This is what they said the to lady...

"The address was updated on 2-2-12 and the card was sent to your constituent on 12-6-11 and hasn’t been returned as of today. In order to get another card your constituent will have to file an I90.

Thank you for your inquiry and please do not hesitate to contact us again if you have further questions regarding this case.

My thought: Thanks for a whole lotta nothing. They didn't do anything but get off their butt and look at a computer screen. But I'm trying not to dwell on that. The point is, I don't have to pay for a replacement card!

Senators: 1     Immigration: -20

I'll keep you posted on what happens. But the point I would just like to stress is...

I WIN!!!!!!!!!
