Living A New Life

Lately I've been realizing that I'm actually pretty lonely. I'm positive that it is because we just moved and we have no WiFi and I'm discovering how much I rely on the internet to keep on contact with the people that mean the most to me.

I'm taking steps though to find new friends. I just found a moms group here in town so I contacted them about being part of it. From what I read, its a big organization with plenty of participants. Going to the YMCA just hasn't been giving me the social interaction I've been craving. I'm not looking to replace all my friendships that have taken me years and year to cultivate, because quite frankly I don't think that's even possible. I am looking for people I can talk to without having to use Google Voice though. I miss having friends that I can just go see.

I am proud of myself for what I've accomplished thus far with being active quite regularly. Pretty sure that's what's been keeping me sane up until now. So since I'm getting more familiarly with the area and more comfortable with branching out, I'm going.to go do that.

Having a husband who works all day is nice in that we are provided for, but having the day all to myself and Warren has gotten old. I think I'm also ultra sensitive because of the 10 months Ray and I were apart last year. Time will heal those wounds though, and I must give him credit for trying hard to come home ASAP every day after work.

Yesterday after he got home for the night, I told him that I'd discovered that Warren is NOT a fan of the Sunbeams song. So like the responsible mother I am, I took videos of it. I just have to figure .out how to post them on here with my phone... Haha...

Also. I'm very excited for my mom to come visit. I talked to her last night and she told me she will be coming down in two weeks! I've really been missing her, so having her here will be amazing. I'm so excited for her to see how big Warren has gotten.

So the adjusting continues and I keep moving forward. This upcoming Sunday will be the first in our new.Ward, so I'm looking forward to meeting a new group of people. And as soon as our house is organized I will take pictures and post them. I'm really proud of our new apartment. It feels like home.

Anywho... Such is life right now. Things are still moving forward.

Update

So I've learned how hard it is to blog when you've actually got a family to take care of. Haha. It's one thing living with your parents and taking care of your kid on your own, but its a totally different thing when you have a home and a baby to take care of at the same time. All the sudden I have responsibility. Haha. I must say though. I love it. I've been waiting a long time to have this and I can't complain.

Here's the update. I've been in Colorado for almost two months. Since then, Warren had his 4 month check up. He's 14 lbs 11 oz now! He's right on track developmentally, and happy as ever. He has started this new squealing thing though. It was cute for about a day... Haha. Ray thinks he's either trying to sing or he's trying to mimic whistling because Ray likes to whistling for him. Either way. It's definitely high pitched and ear piercing. Good thing he's so stinkin cute.

I got all settled in our apartment. Then we got a notice saying that they were gonna do some pest control which required us to move everything in our entire apartment 2 feet from the walls AND empty the kitchen cupboards... I was not happy.. I had just organized everything. Now we had to UN organize it all... Grrr... But we did it. Once we were allowed to move things back into place, I was completely unmotivated. Our lease for our apartment was up at the end of the month and I felt like we were pretty much packed up to go already. I found a new apartment I really liked, set up a time to see it and made a really fast decision. We got the keys the day after seeing it and we've been moving in this whole last week.

Our new apartment is 300 sq ft bigger than our last one and it has a washer/dryer AND dishwasher. Pretty much its the best ever. It's clean. It's safe. It's everything our last place was not. Woot!!!

This move also means we switching Wards, which I'm kinda bummed about. I just got a calling and never was able to get set apart for it. :( Now I'm scared that I'm gonna get a calling I'm Primary which I have successfully avoided up until now. I'm scared of Primary...

Christmas was awesome. Ray and I were able to spend some quality time together and it meant a lot to us. We also both got to talk to our brothers serving missions. They're both doing well and loving their time as missionaries. We are so proud of them both.

For New Years, I went to Ohio with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law to visit Ray's grandma. It was really neat to introduce Warren to his third great grandma. I had a great time getting to know everyone. I felt very welcomed and loved.

Oh!! Ray also took me to a hockey game! Colorado Avs vs Winnipeg Jets. The avs got their trash kicked! I. Love. Hockey.

We also got to take some amazing family photos with one of Ray's friends. I'm very impressed with how they turned out. I'm hoping to do two more photo shoots this year to document Warren's growth. One at 8 months and one at 12. So excited!

Here are some pictures from the past couple months! For some unknown reason, the pictures posted in random order. Haha... Sorry. I dunno how to fix it since I'm doing this on my phone and we don't have internet set up in our new place yet... Oh well! Enjoy anyway!
